The Steps to Managed Innovation
- We meet with potential clients in person (or if you prefer by phone) for a complimentary consulting session
- After this consultation we make recommendations both about the management of the IP and also its valuation and provide a quote for the service (usually in the low thousands)
- If the quote is accepted we meet with management, innovators and/or engineers and marketing to identify the components of the total IP portfolio and determine their relative contribution, potential and symbiosis
- Through reference to benchmarks, databases and experience we determine the value of each IP component (not just patents but also trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks, know how etc.)
- We provide a detailed report (typically well over fifty pages) showing the total value (before and after tax) of the IP Portfolio as well as the value of each component
- The whole process can be completed in about ten days and can be expedited if necessary
