Who can you trust to value your IP?
Any IP valuation should be defensible – in licensing or investor transactions, to the IRS, or even in court in the event of IP litigation. The two major factors in defending a valuation are the methodology and the resumes of those who worked on the valuation.
- Our methodology is the most advanced available – we have written books on the topic and are able to call on substantial historic valuation data and exclusively use a sophisticated software tool to identify and track the IP portfolio
- Our resumes are shown in the last slide – we have the former Chief Economist of the GAO, run an $8.5 billion bank, invented the term ‘trade secret’, authored numerous books and articles on the topic of IP valuation and testified to Congress and in dozens of IP court cases including one with a record breaking $1.5 Billion award for our clients.
